I made this crown to represent my own royalty in my routine and average life. Elevating the mundanity of the items used to construct it and elevating the value I put on myself and my own life. The base is a belt I cut down and formed to my head. Items like candle holders, decorative wreathes, and key chains are transformed into a celebration of life. There is a nod to family history; my grandmother loved angels and gold and the crown is based around a prominent angel and a gold top with gold branches woven throughout. I have always loved nature and spend a lot of time taking walks which help me center myself so I have natural add-ins and leaf motifs throughout. The crown represents me, my ability to transform the mundane into the special; the crown is the the royalty within myself.
